Do We Take God for Granted?

Psalm 46:10


By my question, I mean “Do we presume God will be there for us?” Or “ Do we think He will answer our prayers as we wish?”


Sometimes, we have something happen in our lives and we automatically think that God will take care of it. We forget that we have to ask Him about the need we have and how we can handle the issue from our perspective.


When we ask Him, God directs us to take certain steps in order to guide us through the issues at hand. These steps may be things we have neglected or things we have felt unable to do.

I am writing these thoughts from personal experience. I have not been active in my writing for quite sometime. I will not bore you, my readers, with all the details. I will say that it has been one thing after another most of this year.


Please pray for me and my family as we continue on through this uncertain time. I will try to write on a more regular basis.

We can forgive another person if we remember our own shortcomings. Or better yet, give them to Jesus and let Him deal with them. As God in Christ forgave you. We truly need to remember this: He forgave us our sins- those known and unknown to us!

Sometime ago, she had asked me to pray for a then-13-year-old boy who had cancer. I had recently asked her about how he was doing. She told me that he was 'doing better'. He had asked for a pony. His family purchased one for him and he enjoyed riding it. Earlier in the day that she called me, she had met with some former neighbors who stay in touch with each other. One of those former neighbors is related to this young boy. My friend asked how he was doing. The woman responded, “He's cancer-free!” My friend told her that I had been praying for him and had inquired about him recently.
